  • All About Love Book Design

    This project was a type and image book, meant for print at page size 10x8”. All of the text is derived from All About Love, a series of short essays by revolutionary author bell hooks, who wrote on race, feminism, and class.

  • The Interruption of Song Structure

    An article I designed for the Spring 2022 edition of The Avenue, the premier fashion magazine at Northeastern University. The Avenue has its own design guide, but we designers were free to design within the guidelines set.

  • dive launch party - the avenue

    An Instagram post advertising The Avenue Magazine’s “Dive” edition, inspired by one of the edition’s main editorial spreads, which was shot partially underwater. My design was created completely from scratch, with all bubbles (and the distortion that they create when moving in front of type, created using ellipses (and a lot of layer masks!) on Photoshop

My goal in this design was to incorporate the physical into the digital– including visual elements both with references to objects we see in the real world, in this case, a notepad with a rough grainy texture to mimic the feel of paper, and a flat design emphasizing type.

My goal in this design was to incorporate the physical into the digital– including visual elements both with references to objects we see in the real world, in this case, a notepad with a rough grainy texture to mimic the feel of heavier-weight paper, and a flat design with futurist curves to echo the theme of “Lucid.”

  • Fiizzy: A Dietary Supplement

    Fiizzy is a company I conceptualized that would produce fizzing dietary supplements that can be added to beverages, hot or cold. These dietary supplements address three common nutrient deficiencies in the United States: iron, iodine, and vitamin D.

  • The Space Between Time: A Watchface

    The goal of ‘The Space Between Time’ is to bring users from a headspace where time doesn’t matter to reality, where time does matter, in a way that doesn’t feel too jarring. ‘The Space Between Time’ is a watch face that acts as a non-threatening mode of transportation between that passive and active time.

  • Daily Wellness Check Redesign

    I was tasked with redesigning the now-defunct Daily Wellness Check, a website where Northeastern Students could report their COVID-19 symptoms (if they had any) so our Wellness team could make sure our campus stayed as safe as possible.

  • Sustainable Pinterest Redesign

    This was a redesign of Pinterest, which I created with a partner in my Programming Basics class. I coded this project completely by hand using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. You can visit the website here.

    Leon Neyfakh, the host of hit podcasts Slow Burn and Fiasco, made it into the podcasting world at just the right time. While speaking at “Pizza, Press, & Politics,” a speaker series presented by the Journalism School at Northeastern University, Neyfakh and co-producer Sam Graham-Felsen urged prospective podcasters to follow in their paths.

    In late January, the people of Lower Roxbury finally saw the end of a decade-long struggle with Boston officials to save the trees of Melnea Cass Boulevard. The street is home to over 400 mature linden, maple and oak trees.
